DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): The Peren Government College (PGC) organized an Awareness Programme on the ‘Evils of Tobacco’ in the college on October 4 with Dr Sabino, District Nodal Officer NTCP, Peren, as the resource person. During the session, Dr Sabino briefed on the current status tobacco usage in Nagaland state among the Indian states through PPT and audio-visuals. She also highlighted the evils of tobacco use and discouraged the students to avoid in such indulgence.
Dr Katoni Jakhalu, Principal, PGC also share her opinion on the menage of tobacco use and challenge the students to declare the college tobacco free. The program was chaired by Joseph KJ, Assistant Professor, and Convenor, Anti-Tobacco Committee, PGC; welcome address was delivered by Albert, Vice Principal, Peren Government College; while Mary Rose, Asst. Professor delivered the vote of thanks.
The event saw the participation of about 120 students and faculty members.
