Phek, August 13 (MExN): A meeting of the District Level Committee for Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for Phek district, was held today at DC's Conference Hall, Phek.
Chairing the meeting, Phek deputy commissioner Rhosietho Nguori, who is also the chairman, DWSM Phek, requested all concerned departments to intensify effort for timely completion of all pending JJM and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) activities.
Executive Engineer PHED, Er. Narisen Jami presented overall progress of JJM and SBM in Phek district.
She highlighted the achievements made under both programmes, which includes coverage of Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTCs) and Implementation Status of ongoing schemes and Sanitation-related interventions.
Er Jami also briefed the house on the key challenges during implementation and stressed the urgency of Har Ghar Jal (HGJ) declaration and requested all concerned departments, village councils and DWSM committee to extend necessary cooperation for completion of pending activities and certification processes.
DEO (Edn) presented the status of water supply facilities in schools across Phek district while District Project Officer (ICDS), Phek presented the status of water supply coverage in Anganwati centres.
BDO (DRDA), Phek presented status of JJM works being implemented by Rural Development Dept. in Phek district.
