Phek, September 4 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on August 31, under the chairmanship of Phek Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Jaiswal.
A DIPR report stated that the Deputy Commissioner welcomed the members present and the new member officers - Imlimatsang, Coy- Commander Home Guard & Civil Defence; Chuba Temjen, ADC Meluri and Vikuosa, Executive Engineer, PHED Phek.
During the meeting, an inter-departmental tournament was decided to be held on October 2 to 5. The disciplines in the tournament include badminton, carrom, arm wrestling and chess.
The report further informed that all the departments in various categories and sub-divisions have been requested to participate in the tournament.
Any department failing to participate in the disciplines will be imposed a fine of Rs 5000, it added. A Registration fee of Rs 500 per entry shall be realized from all the participating departments. It requested all departments to prepare their own flags (2 numbers) with ‘Government of Nagaland’ and the name of the department with or without logo, adding the size of flag should be 3’x4’. Cash prizes, certificates and medals will be awarded in all the categories, it added.
