Phek, September 24 (MExN): Phek Government College (PGC) bid farewell to its principal, L. Mefutiba on September 22.
A press release informed that Besengulie Venuh, vice principal, PGC expressed gratitude to the outgoing principal for his dedication, sincerity and initiatives towards the college and the students in particular, and the Chakhesang community in general.
The shortest serving principal in the PGC history, L. Mefutiba in his 99 days tenure took up various vital infrastructural development projects, many of which have been completed and many more are on the verge of completion, the release stated.
The outgoing principal in his speech thanked God for completing his service successfully. He challenged the teachers to do justice in the classroom as God will do justice on them. He also proudly declared that being into teaching profession was his choice and not by chance. Mefutiba further thanked the students, teachers and ministerial staffs for their help and appreciated their work culture. The principal also generously promised to provide scholarship to the best performing college topper each year.
Mulehu Khesoh, Assistant Professor, Department of History and president of teachers association, Nusata Rhakho, senior HA, Krove Hoshi, Vice President PGCSU also spoke on the occasion.
