‘Phoyisha Festival’ from Jan 4 to 7

Meluri, January 3 (MExN): The Phoyisha Cultural Organisation (PCO) is organising the 23rd Session of the ‘Phoyisha Festival’ from January 4 to 7 and it will be hosted by Yisisotha Village. Minister for School Education and SCERT Yitachu and Dr. Ritu Thurr, CMO Longleng will grace the festival as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.   PCO General Secretary Lazithu Trakha in a press release stated that this festival is held to promote and preserve cultures and Traditions, “which we tend to forget is search of education.” It also aims to instill the good moral values and ethics of culture to the younger generation in promoting peace, love, harmony and oneness of the people and creating cordial relations with neighbours.   The village troupes of the area will be competing each other in folk dance, folk songs, and different other traditional games.   The Officials of the PCO meanwhile invites all the area leaders, Villages VCCs, VDBs, Village Chiefs, Elders, GBs and Leaders of different capacities to attend the festival positively.
