Pochury Public Forum withdraws agitation

Dimapur, March 11 (MExN): The Pochury Public Forum (PPF) has withdrawn the first phase of agitation in the form of bandh called by the three apex bodies of Pochury from 12 noon on March 11 on receiving the verbal assurance that the state Government will look into the demand. Pochury Public Forum, President, Chulekhu in a press statement informed that the future course of action shall depend on the outcome of the decision of the Government. The Pochury people are hopeful that the Government will surely give special care, concerning reservation policy as Pochury is the most backward, youngest and minor tribe among the backward tribes. Meanwhile, the forum is grateful to all the Public, NGOs and students for their support and co-operation in the phase one agitation and look forward for the same in the days to come. The Forum also apologizes to the neighbouring tribes and districts for causing inconveniences.
