Peren, July 29 (MExN): World Population Stabilization fortnight activity was conducted from July 11 to 24 for Peren District. The fortnight had family planning camps which were conducted in all the health units, a release from Pezanguno Celine Secii, District Media Officer said.
Dr. Yetovi, Senior Medical Officer and his team from CHC Jalukie conducted the laparoscopic ligation cases. A total of 21 laparoscopic & 16 IUCD were done.
Counseling was carried out by medical officers and nurses in their respective health units. IEC materials in local dialect were also distributed. ASHA’s conducted inter personnel communication and focus group discussion in the villages for intensive awareness at the grass root level. During the camp condoms, oral pills and emergency pills were also distributed and female contraceptive injection was provided in the District Hospital and CHC Jalukie.
