Postal Bank benefits highlighted in Wokha DPDB

Wokha, February 9 (MExN): Wokha District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the DC’s Conference Hall on February 9. Vice Chairman, DPDB & Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha chaired the meeting.

According to a DIPR report, IPPB, Assistant Manager, Nabin Kar gave a presentation on the benefits of Indian Postal Payment Bank (IPPB). He highlighted on the products offered like regular and basic saving account and current accounts, doorstep banking (bank service to be provided in the village itself), DBT and remittance (student scholarships and Government schemes), fund transfers, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS etc, AEPS-money withdrawal from any bank (SBI, Allahabad bank etc) through ADHAAR No and DTH recharge and mobile recharge.

Nagaland State Research Organization (NRSO), Chief Executive Officer, Surenthung Enny highlighted the establishment of the NRSO office. The board after long deliberation recommended and forwarded to the State government for approval for establishing the office of NRSO.
