DIMAPUR, MAY 27 (MExN): The whole of Mon district has been cut off from electricity since May 26 evening after the 66KV Tuli-Naginimora-Tizit Transmission line developed fault at numerous locations due to heavy storm and rain. Sub-Divisional Officer, Mokokchung Transmission Division in a press note informed electricity consumers under Mon District that the 66KV Tuli-Naginimora-Tizit Transmission Line developed fault at numerous locations besides snapping one of the conductors due to lightning strike at Anaki-C Village under Mokokchung district on May 26 evening; causing blackout in the whole of Mon district. In this connection, the SDO has appealed affected consumers to kindly bear with the inconvenience while assuring that the department is working on a war footing to restore stable power supply at the earliest.
