Meeting held with HoDs in Dimapur
Dimapur, February 3 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS) convened a meeting of all Head of Departments (HoDs) under Dimapur district on February 3 in the conference hall of his office here.
Patel directed all the HoDs to ensure that the staffs under them who are on election duty submit Form 12 on or before February 7 in the DC’s office, Dimapur along with all the supporting documents. Along with Form 12, the employees concerned have to submit government detailment order, EPIC/ government service ID card, he informed.
Reminding them about the limited time, the DC told the HoDs to do so at the earliest, adding it would be difficult to issue postal ballots unless Form 12 is ready.
He also informed that Xerox machines are kept ready in the training site (Dimapur Government College) to facilitate election related matters to the nodal officers.
Further, Patel directed all the HoDs to submit the names of extra drivers along with phone numbers latest by February 9 so that they could be utilised on polling day.
Meanwhile, he reiterated he will not consider for exemption of election duties besides those who are recommended by the medical board. There is shortage of polling personnel, he added.
Informing the HoDs about the second round of training which will be conducted very soon, the DC called upon them to convince their staffs to attend the trainings sincerely.
SDO (C) in charge of postal ballot, Kemciyile informed in the meeting that acknowledgement slips will be issued on receipt of Form 12 to avoid confusions.
Assistant Election Officer of Dimapur, Rolland Merry, who was also in the meeting, informed all concerned who are enrolled outside Dimapur to trace out their serial number in the electoral roll, constituency where he/she has been enrolled and the polling station number stating that these details would be required for postal ballots.
Returning Officers in Kohima directed on SVEEP vans
Kohima, February 3 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has directed all the Returning Officers under Kohima district to coordinate and tie up with the mobile van teams and the Sector Officers in regard to the calendar for SVEEP Mobile Vans for their respective constituencies.
The schedule for SVEEP Mobile Vans under Kohima district is as follows: SVEEP Mobile Van – I: On February 2 & 3 – 8th Western Angami A/C; on February 6 & 7 – 9th Kohima Town A/C; on February 9, 10 & 12 – 11thNorthern Angami-II A/C; and on February 14 & 15 – 9th Kohima Town A/C. SVEEP Mobile Van – II: On February 2, 3 & 5 – 12th Tseminyu A/C; on February 7 & 8 – 10th Northern Angami-I A/C; on February 12 & 13 – 14th Southern Angami-I A/C; and on February 15 & 16 – 15th Southern Angami-II A/C. The above schedule may be subject to last minute changes depending upon the circumstances and need, the DC & DEO stated. The SVEEP Mobile Vans along with the District SVEEP Election Anthem was officially launched at DC’s office in Kohima on January 29 and has been going around the constituencies under Kohima district to create awareness and disseminate information on election process.
