Kohima, January 18 (MExN): Rev Fr Manoj Manuel, a priest of the diocese of Kohima, passed away in Aizawl on January 18.
Manuel (46), who was working in the diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes, Australia had come to Kerala for his holiday, informed a press release from the Bishop of Kohima, James Thoppil.
He was on his way to Nagaland via Aizawl to meet his friends but had to go into isolation due to existing COVID-19 protocol, it said.
Though he got COVID negative report, he suffered a cardiac arrest and taken to hospital but declared dead, it added. As per release, medical report showed that he had a history of heart problem.
Decision about his funeral would be taken after doing the necessary formalities in Aizawl, the release added.
