Pro Rural provides assistance to needy families

Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): Pro Rural, a humanitarian NGO based in Dimapur has been giving assistance to daily wagers and migrant labourers in and around the city who are hard hit by the lockdown.

They have been providing essential items and dry ration and sanitation kits to children and elderly people “who are not covered or under-served by the government PDS and other schemes.”

“The relief programme has covered over 600 neediest families from 28 villages or colonies,” a press release from the Pro Rural stated. The village councils, VDBs and village youth groups have helped identify as well as assisted in the distribution of the relief in their respective localities, it said. 

The NGO has supplied relief item to patients and other occupants at the COVID Care Centre, New DC Complex, Chümoukedima.
