Phek, January 25 (MExN): The Pfutsero Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) introductory and consultative programme was held at TT hall, Pfutsero on January 25. Various public leaders, student leaders, union presidents, wards and youth presidents, church leaders and various others attended the programme, stated a press release.
Wekhrote Kapfo, PA to Minister Neiba Kronu was the guest speaker. Kapfo in his address stressed on importance of tradition, language, the need to work hard and not only depend on Government job and to use skills to live a financially independent life. He said, “Chakhesang community are a blessed tribe and we need to remove ism among ourselves and live in unity, also we need to respect each other.” He also stressed on the need for unity among various Chakhesang language speaking people like Khezha, Chokri, Poula and Sumi.
The interactive session was chaired by Truvi Rhi, Speaker PTCSU.
Meanwhile, PTCSU Speaker, Truvi Rhi has convened an emergency union assembly on January 29 at TT Hall, Pfutsero at 11:00 am. All the colony representatives are directed to attend the assembly compulsorily.
