Kohima, October 1 (MExN): The Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) conducted a workshop on September 30 on making a paper bag and handy clothing carrier bag at Phek Town Council Hall.
The purpose of the workshop was to make youths self reliant. PTYS president Neizote Venuh in his keynote address dwelled on how to become self reliant/ self dependent when there are few prospects of getting jobs in government sector at this present juncture.
He told the youths of Phek Town it was high time to earn some means for self sustenance and also lend a hand to ease their parents’ burdens.
Nuyi Hoshi demonstrated how to make a paper bag with basic techniques i.e. outline, shape, sizes and adhesive.
Medole and Chotilu taught stitching/ sewing a clothing bag with several participants.
The workshop witnessed huge turnout of participants from all 11 colonies of Phek Town.
