Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): The Minister for PWD ( Housing & Mechanical), and Mokokchung DPDB Chairman, Tongpang Ozukum today Kendra Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) School, Tuli on September.

He was accompanied by Imnatiba, Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment and Skill development & Entrepreneurship. 

Addressing the plight of KVS School, Tuli A Kika Lenda, President and Chubangangshi, General Secretary of Workers Union Pulp & Paper Company Limited (WUNPPCL) stated that the maintenance of the school building and staff quarters were under the in charge of  Nagaland Pulp & Paper Company Limited (NPPCL) from 1995.

The NPPCL has made all efforts to support the repair and maintenance of the school building but currently the sponsoring authority NPPCL is not in a position to maintain the school building and staff quarter, they said. 

Accordingly, the duo requested the State government to take charge and step in for further progress of the school.

According to a press release from Ozukum’s Press Secretary, the Minister on his capacity as Chairman Mokokchung DPDB encouraged the faculty members and stakeholders of the school not to be disheartened and gave his assurance that he will commit to oversee that progress of the school is not hindered.

He also requested the stakeholders and school authorities to continue on their mission to educate the students of the area as they are the future assets of the society, it said. 

Later, Advisor Imnatiba had an interaction meeting with the Adhoc town committee members and administration of Changtongya town.

The minister also visited and interacted with Mokokchung district administration, urban devlopment department officials and contractor of the ongoing P Shilu memorial park in Mokokchung town.
