R. G. Lyngdoh calls for co- ordination among NE states

The presence of R.G. Lyngdoh, Minister for Higher and Technical Education and IT, Meghalaya on the 5th day of the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland, has brought about thunderous cheers from the crowd as he joined Rosier Viera Ole Souza in presenting an enchanting musical item. Attending the festival as the chief guest at the cultural programme today, the minister expressed his high admiration over the ongoing Hornbill Festival.

“I am happy to see so many cheerful faces around,” the minister said and expressed the hope that such type of festival would bring the people closer and build better understanding. Lyngdoh also firmly believes that the people of the north eastern states will learn to live together, work and coordinate each other to grow.

The minister also maintained that the more people interact, the more they come to know each other and learn to trust each other. Earlier, K.K. Sema, commissioner and secretary tourism chaired the function. Various tribes presented cultural items in the form of dance, song, indigenous games and other traditional practices.
