Kohima, July 22 (MExN): Nagaland State Advisor to Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resource Development, R Khing, has tendered an apology to the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation for “hurting their sentiments.” “I would like to take this opportunity to request the ENPO to accept my apology and reconcile our differences on the issue and work together for the greater cause and interest of our people,” wrote Khing in a letter to the ENPO President. Khing was referring to a letter he wrote to the Commissioner, Nagaland asking for action to be taken against an allegedly “erring government official” to be posted away from ADC Tseminyu in ‘ENPO area.’ “I would like to clarify that the term ENPO area used was never meant to describe, look down or alienate the people of the region, rather it was meant to suggest the far distance from the present place of posting,” explained the Advisor in the letter.
