HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The semi final match between Nagaland and Hyderabad got underway at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on February 9.

Having won the toss, Hyderabad opted to bat first and centuries from Tanmay Agarwal 164 runs and Tilak Varma 101 runs led them to a comfortable position with 373 runs on the board losing 5 wickets in 90 overs on Day 1.

Hyderabad will plan to add more runs on the board on Day 2 and with Nitesh Reddy and Pragnay Reddy on 21* runs and 12* runs (Not out) resuming batting. It will be an uphill task for the Nagaland team if they get to spend more time at the crease.

Dropped catches and missed opportunities hurt team Nagaland the most resulting in the same batsmen going on to score big runs, a press release issued by Nagaland Cricket Association informed.

Nagaland must try to capitalise tomorrow with early wickets and get the Hyderabad team all out as early as possible and bat sensibly as they have a mammoth total already on the board, it added.

For Nagaland, Jonathan Rongsen with 2 wickets was the most successful bowler of the day while Tahmeed Rahman, Khrievitso Kense and Imliwati Lemtur claimed 1 wicket each.
