R&B PWD dept doing best to restore Tinpatti-NHAK bypass road: DC Kohima

Kohima, April 11 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima & RTA Kohima chairman, Rajesh Soundararajan accompanied by Kohima District Disaster Management Authority and Kohima Traffic Police OC inspected the ongoing construction of retaining wall of bypass road connecting Tinpatti-Naga Hospital Authority near Soul Harvesting Church on April 11.  

The DC, during the visit said that the R&B PWD department is doing their best to restore the road early as possible for the convenience of the commuters. “The stretch of road is not safe for the commuters and has ordered the closure of road,” he added while requesting the commuters to take note of the same and use other alternative road.  

Meanwhile, he also contributed immediate relief fund of rupees five thousand from the Kohima district disaster management fund for the volunteers refreshment initially. He also informed that the authority is ready to provide temporary makeshift for the residence of the affected area if necessary, he added.  

PWD executive engineer, Hokato Sema said the stretch of road affected is around 100fts length and 35fts in height and will take a month to complete the construction.
