Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): Rongmei Mothers’ Organisation Nagaland (RMON) was formed on November 12 by Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) at Rongmei Customary Court, Dimapur. The meeting started with an invocation by Pou Namgai Gonmei, Adviser RCN, while introduction was delivered by President RCN who shared the importance of women/mothers’ participation in the society and social organization.
As per a press release from Meeting Secretary Kidongam Panmei, Joysi Rongmei was elected RMON President, Lukingailu Vice President, Apilu Gonmei General Secretary, Peijei Kamei Joint Secretary, G Sanalu Panmei Finance Secretary, Achang Riamei Treasurer, Chungrei Information & Publicity Secretary. The newly elected President requested the team members for support and corporation for smooth functioning of the organization in the following tenure. Pou Chingkhiulung Gonmei, former President RCN declared that RMON will be the frontal organisation of RCN and the President and General Secretary will be an executive member of RCN by virtue. The meeting was attended by Rongmei Puic Phuam Peren, Dimapur and Kohima.
