Refrain from misleading news: LLRPO

DIMAPUR, APRIL 4 (MExN): The Lotha Lower Range Public Organisation (LLRPO) today convened an emergency meeting in Dimapur to deliberate on a “calling letter” issued to its president by the Lotha Hoho, regarding media reports last month of a statement allegedly made by an official of the NSCN (IM). This was informed in a press statement by the LLRPO today.

The Lotha Hoho, in its ‘calling letter,’ made available to the media by the LLRPO, asked the LLRPO president to attend a meeting on April 5 in Wokha. It cautioned that “failure to attend the meeting in person will invite serious consequences...”

The LLRPO reminded that it had already issued a clarification on the issue, and thereby expressed concern at the ‘calling letter.’ During its meeting on April 4 and during an earlier meeting on April 2, the LLRPO “resolved to reaffirm the clarification statement” published earlier regarding the issue. It further appealed to all to “refrain from misleading news which will harm the good relations among us which we have always treasured.”
