Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Peren has informed in a press note to all the heads of Office under Peren District to attend a meeting on July 29 at 11:00 am to chalk out thet programmes for teh forth coming Independence Day celeberation at DC Office Peren.
Lotha Region NSCN/GPRN (K) informs
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The Lotha Region NSCN/GPRN (K) has informed all the business establishments and public in general that all he taxation matters in and around Wokha district will be dealt by Alex Kikon as assigned on July 26 in the office of the Chairman, Lotha Region, NSCN (K). Further, the chairman in a press release informed to the entire business establishment and others that, dealing with other than the assigned person will be doing at their own risk.
NSCN/GPRN mourns its cadre demise
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN has mourned the demise of ‘maj’ Vareithing alias Athingwo.
In a condolence note, the NSCN/GPRN stated that the dead of a young officer like ‘maj’ Vareithing has come as big shock to NSCN and certainly it’s a matter of big loss to the Naga nation. The note mentioned that ‘maj’ Athingwo was one Naga Army officer who had enthusiasm to serve the people.”The call of the nation came to him not long after his graduation and he has served the Naga Army in different capacity. It was not long when he was promoted to the rank of Major.He was also recently married to girl from his home town Ukhrul. The end came to him too early when many years are left for him to serve the Naga people.But God knows better.” The NSCN/GPRN has expressed its deepest sorrow for the untimely lost of a young Officer. For the many years of service to his credit the Naga nation shall always remember him and his name recoded in the pages of Naga history.”We also express our condolence to the bereaved family members, particularly to his wife whose husband was taken from her when they have just started a new life as husband and wife. May God give them strength and comfort to bear the grief and loss.”
NSCN (K) appeals to Lotha community
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): Making an appeal to the Lotha community, to ponder upon the ideals of the Naga under the leadership of SS Khaplang, Lotha Region NSCN (K) Chairman stated that “it will serve as the right innings to think and utilise and start working and not to be timid to push forward and choose the right path.” The chairman in an appeal note stated, “We have differences in our background but we should believe our differences are far overweight by the bondage of factions with different ideology.” He also appealed the Lotha community in general to work for common commitment to achieve and secure for deplorable Naga political issue at this very juncture though it is not an easy job. “The Lotha community has its duty to speak out the right and use its leverage to push the Lotha community among the Nagas of the Nagas in developing ties with the NSCN (K) government. The chairman also appealed that every individual and right thinking person among the Lotha community should be well aware that, if entitlement is not provided, the pronouncement of the community by any factions in all fronts is meaningless. “So let us fill our mind with healthier attitudes to perform well and have a better outlook to face life with confidence,” the chairman further added.
