It is hereby clarified that the local news/press release in Nagaland Post dated 29/03/12 by Yillow Humtsoe (V.P. of NNC – Lotha Region) should be disregarded.
The NNC (Non-Accordist), under the leadership of Kiumukam Yimchunger (VP) and Hozeto Chopy (GS) clarifies, once again, to the Nagas not to be misled by the policies of urecognised NNC leaders like V. Nagi, Z Royim Yimchunger and Retd. Gen. Pongen walling. They claim to be leaders but in reality, they have betrayed the Naga people by being a part of the infamous Shillong Accord of 1975. This should be an eye opener for all Nagas.
How can people who betray the trust of the Nagas call themselves leaders? They are willing to compromise their values and beliefs therefore, they are incapable of leading. Traitors are not leaders.
Anyone who follows them is being misled. With their words, these so-called leaders claim to believe in the Naga Movement. But, with their actions, they have already betrayed the Naga people. This is inexcusable.
It is because of this betrayal of trust that the NSCN was formed under the leadership of Isak Chishi and Th. Muivah. They like every patriotic Naga, refused to accept the Shillong Accord of 1975. Till today, they are struggling for our freedom. Likewise, NNC (NA) also refuses to accept the Shillong Accord of 1975. Only a small group of traitors accept the accord.
The NNC (NA) continues to uphold the Naga Plebiscite of 1952 till today. In 1952, 99.9% of the Naga population voted for freedom. It is this trust that these so-called leaders betrayed when they signed the Shillong Accord. They are not leaders. They are not even fit to be led because they will betray their own people and country for their own personal gain.
The NNC (NA) continues to struggle for the Naga people and will always oppose traitors who claim to be leaders.
