Sanis, April 18 (MExN): The Lotha Middle Range Village Council Chairmen Union (LMRVCCU) has requested the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Baghty Division and higher officers to address the issue of work charge workers whose salaries have been denied for many months.
This, among others, was resolutions passed during the LMRVCCU meeting held on April 10 at IB Doyang Hydro Electric Project to discuss various public grievances.
The meeting resolved to urge the concerned authorities to do the needful and deliver justice to the work-charge workers, stated a press release from the LMRVCCU President, R Thejamo Ovung and General Secretary, Shanthungo Yanthan.
The union also requested all the government employees under its jurisdiction to be in the station and perform their duties assigned to them by the Government for the welfare and benefit of the public.
The LMRVCCU officials also visited the ongoing road construction project under PMGSY—II from Sanis ‘O’ Point to Aitepyong end and met the SDO & JE (R&B) Baghty Division and the site Incharge.
During a healthy discussion, the duo assured the union to complete the carpeting works as per the specification of the DPR of the Government, the release said.
The Union also insisted the Contractor M/s Northeast Enterprises NPW (Class-I/ 378 Dimapur, Nagaland) to complete the work before the onset of the rainy season, it added.
