A book titled ‘Religious resources for peace work’ compiled and co-authored by seven authors was released by chief editor, Nagaland Post, Geoffrey Yaden, on the second day of the Peace Activists’ Meeting. The chief editor in his speech said the book which seeks to highlight the various teachings and ideologies of religious faiths would help people to think and analyze better on the environment, peace and harmonious living.

Yaden said in the present juncture where society is confused and compromised and where people cannot differentiate what is genuine or fake, the role of the Church in speaking out the truth is crucial.

He said without truth, peace and reconciliation would be to no avail. Yaden also termed the North East Region as one of the most “tolerant” and “vibrant: regions in the country and that collectively, the various communities of NE can move forward meaningfully. He also asserted that said there is no differences between the Assamese, Naga or Meitei, but only that some vested interests were trying the create division.

Yaden further expressed optimism that the Peace Activists’ Meeting would foster better relationship between neighbor states. Earlier, Rev. Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o gave a brief introduction of the book.
