
Kohima, August 22 (MExN): The Rengma Landowners' Association (RLA) representing Kasha Daho area (from 40 km-47 km, Kohima to Wokha) today issued an appeal letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima with prayer to release land compensation.
The letter appended by Riga Thyug, treasurer; Kenyuyhunlo Seb, VCC Ksahanyishu; and Gwatilo Teo, Nthyuga Teb; Tesinbu Khing executive members RLA stated that RLA “does not have any objection or complaint against payment of land compensation arrange by the department.”
It is also to inform the DC that all the effected land owners who are objecting for compensation are ready to accept whatever amount is sanction by the department without undertaking re-measurement exercise within our jurisdiction, as the measurement of the effected land done earlier cannot be doubted, since it was done in the presence of all the stakeholders including land owners, village chairman, GBs of the area, all department concerned in presence of the administration.
The Association, therefore, requests the authority concerned to release payment of compensation at the earliest and start the work within the jurisdiction.
“We are ready to co-operate with the department for any developmental work in our area, and that no party/individual shall hamper the development works in the area for self vested interest,” the Association added.
