Business community under MCCI informed

Mokokchung, January 24 (MExN): All members of the business community under Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI) have been informed to attend the Indian Republic Day celebration at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on January 26. All business establishments and shops are to remain closed on that day till 12:00 noon or till the formal function is over. Further, MCCI informed that it has been brought to its notice there are certain group(s) delivering demand notes to shops and businesses in Mokokchung. Hence, all members of MCCI have been warned not to pay any tax or donation to any group without the knowledge and consent of MCCI office.    

DC Mkg asks govt employees to attend R-Day celebration

Mokokchung, January 24 (DIPR): In view of the Republic Day celebration on January 26, Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel has informed all the government servants posted within Mokokchung Town to reach Imkongmeren Sports Complex before 8:30 am on January 26, failing which, strict disciplinary action will be initiated against them. All the district head of offices have been directed to take the attendance of their respective staff and submit the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung for onward submission to the government for necessary action. Meanwhile, all the village council members and GBs union of Ungma, Mokokchung, Chuchuyimpang villages, GBs of Mokokchung Town and the functionaries of all the 18 wards and the public of Mokokchung Town were informed that the Republic Day celebration will commence at 8:40 am at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. All were requested to attend the function.    

District level exhibition-cum-sale event

Mokokchung, January 24 (MExN): A one day district level exhibition-cum-sale event will be organized by the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Mokokchung in commemoration of the 68th Republic Day celebration on January 26 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. The exhibition will commence after the cultural events. Along with agri and allied departments, various farmer groups and individual farmers from different blocks will participate in the event. A number of agriculture exhibits will be displayed while products such as anthurium (potted plants & cut flowers), pineapple, Kinnow and Khasi mandarin, mosambi, lemon, pomelos, betel nut, banana, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, honey, vermicompost, vermi wash, roselle, green leafy vegetables and many more will be up for sale. Wild apple juice and tomato seedlings will also be available for free distribution along with demonstration on use of pineapple juice extractors. Books, leaflets, folders, technology packages in electronic form etc will be available for sale and free distribution.    

NSCB to open stall at New Secretariat Plaza

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NSCB) will open a stall at New Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on the occasion of the 68th Republic Day on January 26 to showcase its products, especially the techno driven cashless banking. During the occasion, it will facilitate the opening of new accounts including ‘zero’ balance accounts. Public can open new accounts by submitting self attested requisite documents, namely address proof, ID proof including Aadhaar card, PAN card and two passport sized photograph. This was stated in a press release issued by General Manager (Account & MIS), AK Deb.    

Traffic regulations for Republic Day in Kohima

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): In view of the 68th Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on January 26, new traffic regulations will be enforced as part of the security arrangement.   Sr. Superintendent of Police, Kohima in a press release informed that only vehicles with appropriate car passes will be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza. Parking outside the main gate of the Secretariat plaza will be free for all public.   No vehicle will be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 6:00 am onwards on January 26 at the following routes: From BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island; From Raj Bhavan till M.S Classic Island; From Classic Island till Assembly Secretariat via Razhü Point.   Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply from High School junction to Assembly Secretariat via Sanuoru subway during the Republic Day programme except government departmental buses. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima Town till the programme is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima Town should be completed by 6:00 am and heavy vehicles will not be allowed to be parked along the ‘D’ Block road, the release added.   While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the release said the Police will tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges will be borne by the vehicle owners.
