'Reserve vacancy for W/C, Casual employees'

Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The All Nagaland Inter-Departmental Field Staffs Association Joint Forum (ANIDFSAJF) has requested all Head of Departments having Work-charged and Casual employees to reserve the vacancies created due to retirement for the aforementioned group of employees.

The request has been made to fulfill 67% quota for the above stated employees on seniority basis, those whose service length is below 30 years, without giving any fresh appointment, according to a press release from ANIDFSAJF Chairman, N. Zhekugha Assumi and Secretary, K. Atovi Awomi.

The release said that as per Office Memorandum No. AR-3/GEN-201/2009 dated Kohima, the 17th March, 2015, Sl. No. 1. Regularisation in service, clause (iii), 67% quota for Work-Charged (W/C) employees’ service regularization may be considered basing on seniority basis against the retirement vacancies as many of the W/C employees will retire on attaining the age of superannuation before attaining 30-35 years of service length.

The Joint Forum cautioned that in the event of failure to comply with the request, the ANIDFSAJF will not be held responsible for any situation.

It further observed that some departments having Work-charged employees/labours are terminating the service of the employees who have completed the length of service and age without any standing order of the government. In this regard, the Joint Forum urged the government to pass necessary order/notification in order to avoid such termination.   ANIDFSAJF also ascertained that some associations/groups which are not affiliated with the Joint Forum are indulging in processing the files of W/C employees’ service regularization. Therefore, the government and Head of the Departments have been requested not to entertain the same as the Joint Forum is processing the files through all legal proceeding. The associations/groups will be sued if they are found indulging in such kind any further, it cautioned.
