Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): The CNBC 25th celebration held at Kalinamai from March 19 to 20, 2011, hosted by Mao Baptist Churches Association was attended by over thousand of people from 19 associations (including 10 apologies).
A press note issued by Rev. VK Nuh, general secretary CNBC, informed that the members of the Resolution Committee thoughtfully walked through the Anniversary session and resolved to adopt the following resolution for effective and timely implementation: Firstly, the note stated acknowledgement and confession of sins, failures and shortcomings for not being able to keep up many of the commitments to God and to one another as a Naga family over the years. “Therefore, with deep sense of repentance, we ask God’s forgiveness upon the whole Naga family,” it stated. Also, it was resolved to reaffirm commitment to support the ongoing Naga Peace and Reconciliation process and urge upon all believers to keep up prayer vigil till the desired goal of Naga family is realized. Also, recognizing the desire and pulse of the Association and timely relevance, the members felt that a more accommodative name be adopted and approved and hence Council of Naga Baptist Churches (CNBC) was changed to Naga Baptist Churches Associations and Fellowships, nationally and internationally.
The FNBA expounding on its visions stated that it also resolved to emphasize biblical centrality of Christians to help Churches grow in faith, love and service through renewal, Bible fellowships and revival crusades, to motivate and mobilize churches by commission conferences, seminars and trainings, and also practical involvement of actively participation in world mission. It has also resolved to continue involvement in ministry of Peace and Reconciliation of Naga people, focus on Neglected part of our family, especially the Nagas in Myanmar, and participate in social-human concern in the areas of need in our home, nations around us and in our global family.
FNBA also stated that it is high time to cast lasting, relevant, uniting and productive vision to redeem and guide generations, hence, it resolved to urge its meet associations to establish a model school implementing quality education with pragmatic development towards efficient, holistic and practical impact in the consummation of developing human skills and resources, in their respective areas. Also, to consider setting a comprehensive Christian Ministry Institute with a component of Pastoral Care Training, Indigenous studies relating to Naga Culture and Anthropology, and research and data Analysis on the World as a whole with special focus on Nagas and nations around for dissemination. Towards this initiative, a planning committee as Master Planning Committee will be appointed with the following members to: work out a detailed concept of the vision with layout, explore a suitable site as stated as above, and explore strategies site and resources towards the vision.
