‘Respect for life’ drama calls for fight against social problems

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): Students of Patkai Christian College, BA 6th semester philosophy performed a drama titled ‘Respect for life’ at Auditorium Chapel Hall in the evening community vesper service.

“Today our society is full of confusion, chaos, violence and atrocities. Our society has tremble down and has no respect for human value. Rape, suicide, prostitution, mercy killing, abortion, etc. are some of the common happening today. Rape is the most common issue in today’s world,” Mireuyi Herie states in a press release. 

‘Respect for life’ is an act about a girl being rape. After being rape, the girl is in mental trauma and deeply disturbed. The drama portrays the suffering she goes through and ultimately takes her own life. 

The drama also taught the students a great lesson and challenged the students to be responsible for problems like prostitution, mercy killing and abortion. Through the drama, the students also put across the message to be responsible Christian and to fight against these problems. “Let us help people around us by counseling them, organise seminars, programmes, and spread the awareness around the world, by even writing small article in the newspapers and journals. Let’s not keep it for ourself but let’s spread to the people who are going through these problems. Let’s share with our family and friends.”
