PUNGRO, December 22 (MExN): The Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) has requested the Nagaland State Transport (NST) to resume its bus service to Pungro.
The Forum in a press release informed that the public of Pungro sub-division carried out major road repairing at 0.2 Road leading to Likimro Hydro Electrical Project (LHEP) on December 20 and 21.
Spearheaded by the Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) and Administration Pungro, the repair of the main lifeline for the people of Pungro sub- division has now ensured that the road is pliable for all vehicles, the Forum informed.
In this connection, the Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division requested the NST department to resume bus service to Pungro “as the road condition is now satisfactory for ferrying of passengers and other transportation”.
According to President PFPSD, S. Kiusumew Yimchungru, the road has been repaired 6 times within this year alone due to the deplorable condition in the areas. The road connects more than 54 villages across Myanmar border and the Likimro Hydro Project which is known for generating 24 MW of electricity.
