Rising Youth appoints unit office bearers

Dimapur, March 31 (MExN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) on Thursday stated that it is “heartened and encouraged to see the student community giving leadership and not unafraid to call a spade a spade.”

Relating to the recent video circulating in the social media where the Aboi Town Students’ Union (ATSU) displayed the poor workmanship of the road from Zero point to 11th IR Camp, “the workmanship is a complete mockery and those people responsible for such an irresponsible and insulting act should be booked under relevant sections of the law. As a next step the contractor should be named and shamed,” the RPP stated in a press release.

The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) locked the Office of the EE, PWD (H), Tuensang Division due to negligence and incomplete projects dating back to almost 16 years. “Since governance is missing in the state except Kohima and Dimapur, it is no wonder that the Naga public has to resort to extreme measures to wake up the state government,” the party stated.

RPP also lauded the Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu (SKK) for raising the issue of misappropriation of funds under the Nagaland School Education Department to the tune of 82.79 Cr as per the report of the CAG of India.

The recent press releases by SKK, CWS and ATSU, “are a very encouraging sign that in the face of wanton and blatant corruption in the state the younger generation will not be silent spectators anymore” it observed.

The RPP stated that “it is ready to extend a helping hand in bring the issues to its logical conclusion.”
