RNTCP 2nd quarterly review meet held

Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP) conducted its 2nd quarterly review meeting on September 5 at the IDSP Conference Hall, Directorate of Health & Family welfare Kohima along with all Districts TB Officers and Senior Treatment Supervisors.
A press release from RNTCP stated that Dr. Palash Talukdar, NE WHO Consultant highlighted about the programme performance based on eight parameters such as TB notification, Nikshay Poshan Yojana, Universal Drug Sensitivity Testing, screening for HIV among TB patients Treatment Success Rate, Drug Resistant TB patients on shorter regime, Fund utilisation etc.
Dr Kevichusa Medikhru, Mission Director, NHM reminded the staff about the momentous task of eliminating target by 2025 and the need to put all efforts in achieving the Programme Indicators as set by the Centre.
Dr Tiasunup Pongener, State Programme Officer (RNTCP) gave a presentation on the State ranking parameters and stressed the need to improve the Universal Drugs Sensitivity Testing status and TB HIV known status which is the key indicators to push up the overall performance of our state.
