Road contractor reminded not to compromise on workmanship

Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister and also the Minister incharge of Home, Roads & Bridges, Y Patton inspected the ongoing road improvement from PWD junction to Unity College road in Dimapur on August 31.


A press release issued by the Media Cell, Dy CMO stated that Patton visited the spot to take stock of the ongoing road improvement works which is being undertaken under the ‘improvement of Dimapur city roads’ that is to be completed within 12 months from the date of commencing the work.


Patton urged the contractor concerned not to compromise on workmanship and reminded them that even after the completion of work, they will be responsible for road maintenance for a period of three-years. He appealed to the contractor to adhere to the terms and conditions of the road improvement project.


The Dy. CM was accompanied by the Dimapur Police Commissioner, Limasunep Jamir IPS, Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Kevekha Kevin Zehol and PWD (R&B) Executive Engineer Talitemsu Jamir.
