Chümoukedima, March 18 (MExN): The installation programme of the Rongmei Council Chümoukedima (RCC) and its frontal organizations viz Rongmei Youth Organization Chümoukedima (RYOC) and Rongmei Students’ Union Chümoukedima (RSUC) was held at Rongmei Christian Fellowship, Chümoukedima on March 17.
The installation was ministered by ordained Pastor Meingandai Gangmei of Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church (DRBC) in presence of Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN), President and General Secretary, Chingkhiulung Gonmei and Kidongam Panmei respectively and Rongmei Community Dimapur (RCD) President, James Akham, Rongmei Council Paren (RCP), Rongmei people of Chümoukedima town, Tenyiphe village, Diphupar village, Diphupar ‘B’ village and Naga United village.
The RCN President appealed to Rongmei people to come forward in support of the chosen leaders physically and financially. He said that “RCN being the apex body of Rongmei in Nagaland recognised the newly formed Council as one of the Federating Unit of RCN” and suggested for setting up of Rongmei Council Hall Chümoukedima in near future.
