DIMAPUR, APRIL 6 (MExN): The Rotary club of Dimapur has informed young professionals interested to undergo either a master’s degree (2 years) in peace and conflict resolution or a professional development certificate program (3 months) to contact them.
A press note by the President of the Rotary Club, Dimapur, US Agarwalla stated that the applicants should possess a “strong commitment to international understanding and peace demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal and community service activities. It added that a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience as a minimum, with strong academic achievement would be required as well. It also stated that a minimum of three years’ combined paid or unpaid full-time work experience or five years’ relevant work experience with current full-time employment in a mid- to upper-level position would be required. Proficiency in a second language (master’s degree) or in English (professional development certificate) and strong leadership skills would also be desirable for the applicants.
Applicants have been requested to furnish their curriculum vitae and other information at the Rotary Centre, Midland in Dimapur. The press note informed that the club level selection will be held on April 21 at the Rotary Centre, Dimapur from 3.00 PM. The selected candidates would then be sent to participate in the district level selection, which would be held in the mid of June. It was also informed that intimation to this effect about the time and place would be provided to the candidates separately.
