Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): Sunil Saraf, District Governor 2017-18 of Rotary District 3240 paid official visit to Dimapur, accompanied by his wife Jyoti Saraf and District Secretary General Dr. Danny Dutta.
Soon after his arrival, Saraf inaugurated water cooler with purifier, which was installed by the Rotary Club at Model Blood Bank, Dimapur District Hospital, and also visited the state of art pay & use toilet constructed by the club under the Global Grant program at Super Market, Dimapur.
In the evening, he addressed the Rotarians, Lions, Lions Blue Vanda, Inner Wheel, Rotaractor, dignitaries, informed a press release. The District Governor emphasized how Rotary has been instrumental and has inched towards total eradication of polio, brought smiles on the million faces during time of distress, and worked in conflict resolutions. He also highlighted how the club is working untiringly to make India Total Literate through Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) TEACH Program, which targets to send back to school the drop out children who due to unforeseen reasons were deprived. Recognizing the services of these teachers under RILM vertical–T, he also honoured five teachers with Nation Builders Award 2017. The awardees were: Gracy Kithan, Atula T.Jamir, Meyasangla Jami Tzur, Arenkala Aier, and T. Moa Naro.
