Guwahati, March 29 (MExN): Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway team of RPF Post/Jalpaiguri Road under the supervision of ASC/Alipurduar Junction conducted raid in Train No. 05960 Dibrugarh – Howrah Special at Jalpaiguri Road Station on March 17.
During the raid, the RPF team apprehended one person for illegally carrying contraband goods and recovered 16 packets cannabis weighing about 33.15 Kgs valued Rs 1.32 lakh (approx).
The apprehended person along with the recovered goods was handed over to OC/GRP/New Maynaguri.
On March 23, the duty RPF personnel of RPF Post, Katihar (East) saved a female passenger from falling off the Train No. 05981 Dibrugarh-Danapur Express Special. The female passenger did not sustain injury, informed a press release issue by Subhanan Chanda, Chief Public Relations Officer.
