Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): A one day sensitization meeting for District Education and Social Welfare Department for Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign was organized by the District Health Society, Zunheboto which is supported by World Health Organisation(WHO) on July 25 at CMO Office, Zunheboto.
Dr. Abishek, RRT (WHO) apprised the participants on country MR update, elimination strategies and basic strategies operational plans for Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign. He also stressed on the Micro Planning, recording, reporting and monitoring tools, a release from Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO said.
He later highlighted the rollout plan with timelines and other guidelines, planning of schools and outreach MR Campaign.
Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP), briefed about the AEFI treatment/management during MR campaign. He briefed on organizing vaccination sites Shekho Sophie, Media Officer, spoke on the objectives of the MR Communication plan. He briefed about the importance of advocacy with the stakeholders and social mobilization. He also stressed on capacity building of community and media management.
In the introductory address, Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP) Zunheboto briefed about the objectives of the workshop. He encouraged the participants to work with dedication and sincerity for this upcoming MR Campaign.
The training was attended by DEO, CDPO, SDEO, ADEO, Coordinator-EBRC, Sr. Supervisor (ICDS), Supervisor-ICDS, AEO, ADC-DEO and IEC bureau.
