Our Correspondent Kohima | December 28 The Rünguzumi Baptist Church under Phek district celebrated its 75th anniversary of Christianity cum dedication of new church building from December 20 to 21 last under the theme “Proclaiming the whole will of God” (Acts 20:27).
The new church building was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary Chakhesang Baptist Church Council amidst huge applause. Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General secretary Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo acted as the speakers of the celebration. They spoke on the topics “Proclaiming the whole will of God” (Acts 20:27) and “A Church with purpose” ( 2 Chron 7:14) respectively.
Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, President Chakhesang Baptist Church Council and Vekusa Lohe, Chairman Chozuba Area Baptist Church Council also shared greetings. Congregation prayer of dedication and commitment was led by Rev. Khriitsoyi Liiriio. Tsüswüzumi Baptist Church choir, Chozubami Baptist Church Choir, anniversary choir and parents’ choir entertained the congregation with choral praises.
Earlier, a brief report of the new church building and 75th anniversary was given by Pusazo Luriio, Chairman Church Building Committee and Chisayi Vadeo, Secretary 75th Anniversary Planning Committee respectively.
The new church dedication service was led by Niivotso Liiriio, pastor Riinguzu Baptist Church while Veta Nienu led the 75th anniversary celebration service Musical night and 75th anniversary feast also marked the occasion.
