Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Commissioner (MGNREGA) & Secretary Rural Development Kelei Zeliang went on an inspection tour to Kohima village under Kohima Block and Khuzama and Jakhama villages under Jakhama Block on March 3.
During the inspection, the commissioner instructed the villagers to stick to the Annual Action Plan of the village and complete the same in the given financial year. He also asked them not to divert fund to the project outside the AAP.
Zeliang was impressed with the special project paddy-cum-fish culture at Jakhama village and encouraged the villagers to take up such projects in a commercial way as an income generating activity since this activity is low-cost in terms of input and with good returns.
Other officers of the department who accompanied the commissioner (MGNREGA) were project director Kevipodi Sophie, PO Sihu Bizo, BDO Jakhama Khovi Thapru and BDO Kohima Aseno Solo, informed a press note recieved here.
