Rüzaphema starts indefinite ban of Gaili presence in its area

DIMAPUR, MAY 4 (MExN): The Rüzaphema Youth Organisation (RYO) sought to counter press statement of the Gaili Village when the villager had blocked the inaugural function of Chief Minister on May 2, 2007, saying that the village had ignored two tribes namely Zeliangrong Baudi and Angami Public Organisation. The release issued by Lhoubeikhotuo Secü and Vituotso Kehie, President and Secretary of the RYO stated that the land dispute case between the two villages of Mpo River and Khaker River was in the court of the said two tribe’s Joint Committee and is underway to be settled.

However Gaili Village has taken the matter into its own hand by violating, condemning and rejecting the two tribes while Rüzaphema Village remained loyal and faithful to the joint committee for the settlement.

The RYO added that action of Gaili Village of obstructing developmental works at Rüzaphema by blocking the official’s entry through their village road for the inaugural function has tested the patience and invited the wrath of Rüzaphema Village. Therefore, the Organization said that henceforth, it would start indefinite banning of any kind of activities, be it cattle and human activities belonging to Gaili Village, within its jurisdiction. Beside they said that the Gaili people would be banned from crossing inside the oath taking boundary of Rüzaphema Village including the State Highway under Rüzaphema area.

The organization warned that if any Gaili people are found ignoring and violating the banned order issued by Rüzaphema Village, the RYO would resort to its own course of action.
