Mon, April 2 (MExN): Advisor Social Welfare and Home Guards, Civil Defense & SDRF, Noke Wangnao inaugurated the Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) building at Mon on April 1.
Speaking at the inaugural, Noke congratulated the District Administration headed by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS for finishing the project at a record time under limited funds, a DIPR report stated.
DC Mon in his welcome address highlighted the aims and objectives of the scheme. He further thanked all the stakeholders for the successful completion of the building.
A brief report on OSC building construction was given by EAC Mon & Nodal Officer OSC Mon, Molosangla NCS, while short speeches were delivered by Asst. Director, Social Welfare, Wango Longsym and District Welfare Officer, Mon, Y Tauhong Ngonyen.
The project was completed within a period of six months with a total budget allocation of Rs 48,69,372. As per the guidelines of the Ministry, the total area of the ground floor is 1100 sqft and 300 sqft for the first floor, however, in order to provide ample space for the victims and functionaries, OSC Mon was completed with a total area of 1680 sqft for the Ground floor and 1064 sqft for the First floor.
The event was chaired by Centre Administrator, OSC Mon, Lily Konyak. The programme was attended by SP Mon, Imnalensa, IPS, Officers for various departments and representatives from NGOs.
