Sakipheto Range Students’ Union 21st general conference concludes

Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): The Sakipheto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) held its 21st general conference under the theme ‘visionary student’ at Kukidolong from January 3 to 5. The conference was attended by over 600 delegates from seven units, informed a press release issued by Vikavi Zhimo, President, SRSU.

Western Sumi Hoho, President, Shikaho Zhimomi, graced the conference as the inaugural guest. Zhimomi exhorted the students to be more focused, dedicated and consistent in their endeavour towards achieving the desired goal. He emphasized and stressed on the importance of a students' role in a society and challenged the student community to work harder and give an all out effort in achieving excellence in life. Speakers of the conference included Abel Naga Achumi,  I/c of Gurgaon, Haryana and Nagaland, NGO Helping Hand, New Delhi; Tokai V Sumi SDO (Civil) Medziphema; Hutoshe Kits, President, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu and Rev Kahoto Zhimomi, Pastor, Sakipheto Baptist Church.

Greetings were also delivered by A Kughato Achumi, President, Western Sumi Students' Union, V Akieto Khro, President, Chakhroma Students' Union and Kakishe Achumi, President, Sakipheto Area Youth Front.

The three-day long conference also included various sports and cultural activities, literary competitions as well as felicitation of meritorious students. Zhuikhu Students' Union emerged as the over-all Champion while Medziphema Sumi Students' Union was awarded with the best disciplined unit.
