Sakus Mission College holds annual sports meet

Dimpaur, February 4 (MExN): The Sakus Mission College (SMC), Dimapur conducted its 25th Annual Sports Meet from January 30 to February 3.

Both the teaching and non-teaching faculty headed by the chairman and the students took active participation in true sportsmanship spirit, informed a press note from SMC. 

After nearly five days of various competitions, the Blue House emerged as the overall champion while the Red House bagged the runners-up position, it said. 

Hengoulen Hangsing and Sulito Shohe were adjudged as the best male and female sportspersons respectively, it added. 

Earlier at the inaugural function on January 30, SMC Vice-Principal highlighted the importance of games and sports for harmonious development of personality, the release said.

He also declared the sports meet open and Sports Secretary, Penpoh Konyak of 4th Semester conducted the oath taking along with the captains of the four houses, it added.
