Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The New Market Business Owners’ Association (NMBOA) has banned the sale of calendars and lottery/raffle draws within its jurisdiction. The association in a press release informing this asked businessmen to report any such cases.
The NMBOA has also urged business establishments in New Market to keep their premises clean and hygienic and decorate their respective shops with illuminations during this festive season.
Further stating that the onset of festive season “ironically is also an opportune time” for anti-social elements to create disharmony, dupe public, commit theft and robbery amidst rush of people in the market, the Association made it known that it remains on tight vigil against such anti-social elements within its jurisdiction. However, the NMBOA advised the public visiting the market to be alert and report any such incidences to its office for addressing the issues.
