SAMEEP interaction at KSC Jotsoma

Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): Regional Passport Officer, Guwahati and in-charge of North East Cherakung Zeliang had an interaction with MSc and BSc students of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma on February 24.

The interaction was held as part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ initiative called the students MEA Engagement programme SAMEEP with the objective to familiarise school and college students across India about the functioning of Ministry of External Affairs as well as introducing them to key elements of India's foreign policy and its success stories. As part of SAMEEP, serving India Foreign Service officers interact with students of their college alma mater or prominent school and college, according to a press release.

The programme began with welcome remarks by Thungbeni Yanthan, Vice Principal of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, introduction of guest speaker by Dr Ruokovikho Dominic, Assistant Professor followed by the interaction with students. Senior faculty members were also present in the programme which was part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav celebration week from February 21 to 27, the release stated.
