Sangtemla ward lifted the fourth edition of the Mokokchung Inter-ward Football Tournament organized by Marepkong Youth Association which kicked off at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on April 10 and concluded on April 12.
The guest of honour at the closing ceremony was by Dr. I. Wati Imchen, Principal, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung.
Sangtemla won against Penli 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out. The first 90 minutes of the game ended in a 3-3 draw, after which an extra time of 20 minutes was played which ended with no goals from either side.
A total of 13 teams from 13 wards participated in the fourth edition of the Mokokchung Inter-ward Football tournament.
Individual Awards:
Highest Scorer: Tarepnungsang, Tongdentsuyong and Supongmeren, Artang (5 goals each)
Best Goal Keeper: Imsutoshi, Penli ward
Best Defender: Namang, Artang ward
Player of the Tournament: Molotsupong, Sangtemla ward.
