
Tuensang, May 12 (MExN): The Planning Committee of Sao Chang College, Tuensang organized a webinar on ‘CBCS (Choice Based Credit System): Guideline and Implementation’ on May 11 with Prof Dipak Sinha, Department of Chemistry & Director, IQAC Nagaland University, Lumami as the resource person.
A press release from the college stated that the online seminar was organized for the faculty of Sao Chang College with an objective to explain in detail the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) that is to be implemented in higher education. Talking about the various aspects of the new system, Prof Sinha explained the reasons why shifting from marks system to credit system is more beneficial to students.
The seminar started with a welcome address by Dr Iris Odyuo, Associate Professor, Department of History and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Shokip Tumtin, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.
Tekameren Walling, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany was the coordinator of the seminar.
