• Asserts action against erring teachers

Kiphire, August 8 (MExN): The Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) kicked off the phase-2 of SASU educational tour at Seyochung, Old Mong, New Monger, Seyochung Town and Yangzithong Village in August 2018.
Reiterating its fight against the corruption of proxy teachers, the SASU educational tour was undertaken on the theme ‘Practice of proxy teachers is a sin to God and man.’
The SASU held meetings with Village Councils, GBs, teachers and the public for the “reformation of quality education, health and infrastructural development under its jurisdiction.”
According to the press release issued by President SASU, K. Chumseli Anar and General Secretary, Holise Sangtam, “the Union will never compromise with proxy teachers within its jurisdiction.”
SASU has asked the Government teachers who are unable to perform their duties to take voluntary retirement and give chance to thousand of aspiring unemployed youth who are waiting in the queue for job opportunity.
The SASU also cautioned that it will be conducting surprise checking in all schools simultaneously under its jurisdiction at any time. It firmly asserted that SASU will take “a stern action” against erring teachers who fail to comply with the directive.
The Union also stated that under Government High School, Seyochung Village the government has established nominal school without creation of post for Assistant Headmaster, Language Teacher, Office Assistant (1 UDA), LDA-cum-computer Assistants , peon, Chowkidar and draughtsman.
SASU also strongly demanded to the department concerned for urgent renovation of cracked walls at Government Middle School at Old Mong and GPS Yangzithong village.
SASU has further requested the authorities concerned to avail and utilize funds under Aspirational District for the welfare of the people.
